Lead Modification Technician-TAME-CATO-06062017

Based in Toronto, Ontario, you will lead, supervise and monitor a team of electrical and mechanical technicians in order to ensure that safe work is being performed during the testing, repair and modifications of vehicles and equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.

In your role you will:

- Responsible for the correct deployment of testing, repair, modifications and documentation; to the technical team on various shifts to ensure work and activities are planned and coordinated with the overall product introduction schedule;
- Managing shift and/or section employees of planned and coordinated work to ensure vehicles, technical resources and administrative support is available;
- Coordinating and collaborating with appropriate support teams e.g. Quality Assurance, Engineering, RAMS, Safety, etc.
- Implementation and enforcement of HSE requirements on site, schedule safety training with the support of HSE team representatives;
- Regular reporting on status, special problems, shortages etc.; regular participation in PI Management meetings.


As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Technical or related experience;
- You possess at least three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience in heavy rail industry (CN, CP, Subway, Streetcars and/or Bi-Level;
- You possess experience in testing, vehicle maintenance practices and methodology, knowledge of problem solving techniques;
- You have knowledge of maintenance processes, including vehicle testing and commissioning activities;
- Your English communication skills are excellent.
