Engineering Professional - Electromagnetic Research and development-MON14394

You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Support specific electromagnetic R&D projects on aircraft systems and structure protection from electromagnetic threats.

- Provide technical guidance and support to collaborative R&D teams (universities, industry) in solving issues related to BA Electromagnetic R&D projects and driving activities to completion.

- Support the definition of a R&D roadmap for the Electromagnetics knowledge Domain.

- Help drive the resolution of electromagnetic related issues to support EMC team on charge of aircraft certification activities.


As our ideal candidate,

- You own a PhD or a M.Sc. in Physics, in Electrical or in Engineering Sciences.
- You have 4 years minimum experience in R&D activities including in the scope of Ph.D. studies
- You demonstrate a good team spirit. You are comfortable working in a scientific R&D multicultural team, including with partners, and are able to interact with other functional areas, including. airworthiness, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to achieve common goals.
- You are open minded, and an avid learner.
- Your strength is in conducting theoretical analysis based on physics, mathematics and simulation, which minimize the need for physical tests.
- You demonstrate an advanced knowledge of electromagnetic disciplines and standard scientific modelling methods and techniques.
- You are familiar with electrical or electromagnetic testing techniques, and with statistical techniques used for test data interpretation and modelling.
- You possess good technical writing skills, and can effectively communicate achievements and challenges to technical as well as non-technical management.
