You will be part of the Product Development Engineering team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- be a member of the Engineering Configuration Management Group are responsible for ensuring that the Company Configuration Management Plan is followed by all affected for the Global 7000/8000 Program
- report to the Section Chief of Configuration Management within Engineering for the Global 7000/8000 Program
- create, review, approve both internal and supplier A/C and component Engineering Configuration Statements (ECS) respectfully.
- work with requestors to assure that forms are completed clearly and concisely.
- work with document creators to assure understanding and timely response.
- strive to minimize the time between receipt of a request and a Change Review Board decision.
- prepare and distributes summaries of change activity and status.
- compile and monitors recurring/nonrecurring document costs.
- receive and logs engineering change requests, problem reports, released data, etc.
- monitor physical item and documentation impact matrix.
- work with the creator and requestor in developing the most efficient document flow process.
- monitor to assure effectivity was met as was initially committed.
- provide statistics of released document activity.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have Data and Document Management Skills
- You have Process Management Skills
- You have Product Structure Building Skills
- You have Leadership Skills
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience which provided a firm grasp of overall business practices, integrated management processes and the roll of Configuration Management.
- You hold a diploma/degree from an accredited program in the field of engineering from a recognized community college
- You have a combination of academic and directly related work experience equivalent to the bullet directly above.
- You have to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both orally and in writing in English (Written and spoken - French would be an asset)..
- You have a track record of continued growth in at least one or more career fields.
- You are a team player and able to demonstrate a track record accordingly.
- You have strong knowledge of standard computing hardware and software applications (Microsoft Office suite).
- You have strong presentation skills are desirable.
- You have a complete understanding of the CMII principals and ISO 10007 are desirable.
- You have CATIA/ENOVIA working knowledge.
- You are able to work well both in a team and independently
- You work in a very methodical and organized way
- You are flexible, adaptable, self-disciplined, and are willing to take initiative when working to a deadline
