YOUR ROLE

The incumbent of this position leads and stewards the internal sales process from the front end of our business process to order intake, including lessons learned to ensure both efficiency and effectiveness in marketing and sales processes and tools applied across the sales organization

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the global BT Pre-NTP governance framework. Ensure pipeline maturity and reporting
- Ensure high quality market modelling and forecasting including market share analysis. Lead and drive the development of a healthy consolidated project pipeline, commercial plan, order intake management and planning.
- Lead and support the sales and bid teams to ensure best in class capture planning and opportunity management. Develop and implement the Gate Review Process in cooperation with the marketing, sales and bid process. Manage the post mortem process and develop lessons learned.
- Develop and run sales training and competency development programs.
- Process owner for all Sales Processes. Ensure adherence to Sales processes and interfaces to other BT functions and entities.

Qualifications

Your Qualifications

Education

- MBA, MSc Engineering, Legal or Finance

Relevant experience required

- 8 years' experience with 5 years' experience from relevant work in marketing, strategy and/or engineering

- Understanding of BT's rail systems/products and financial systems

- Experience in a business development, sales or marketing role working for a heavy manufacturing organization; government and international experience would be assets

- Proven track record in implementation, improvement and control of the processes in international organizations

- Track record of business development from "ground up" with the ability to grow the market

- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges of the market place today and in the future

- Knowledge of competitive position and business modelling

- Solid proficiency level of cultural awareness and negotiation skills

- Advanced strategic sales skills, contractual & legal knowledge and railway technology knowledge

- Expert knowledge in business intelligence and planning skills

Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role

- Leadership in a large global manufacturing/engineering enterprise

- Experience of leading cross functional teams successfully
