RoQ Lead Project Manager


We are currently looking to recruit a RoQ Lead Project Manager

Location: St. Bruno (Montréal)

Working within our Rolling Stock Equipment (RoQ) division, we are looking for a Project Leader accustomed to meeting the core project deliverables of Quality, Time and Cost (QTC) and leading others to drive company and contractual performance. Based at our Americas Headquarters, you will manage set of sub-projects across the following technical disciplines as a full portfolio for a complete project, being the counter-part of the Project Manager / Director on the vehicle side:

- Propulsion & Control (PPC)
- Train Control & Management Systems (TCMS)
- Bogies (BOG)
- Carbody (CBY)
- Electrical Components & Parts (ELEC)

Your successful delivery of these diverse sub-projects will have a major impact on the overall delivery across multi-million dollar Rolling Stock projects and with full P&L responsibility, you will have the control, scope and visibility to succeed.


- Delivery of QTC Contractual Commitments:
- Quality - To ensure that delivery in line with Customer's requirement
- Time - OTIF delivery (On Time In Full) for the full scope of the project incl. documentation & respect of timelines
- Cost - Ensure we deliver within the Budget as well as driving the Change & Claim plus Risks & Opportunities Management until payment

- Monthly preparation & regular update of all Project actuals and update of the forecast (Order Intake, Sales Delivery) with all functions represented on the project
- Review (and preparation in some cases) of all Variation Orders for TCMS, ELEC and BOG or CBY from St. Bruno before submittal to the Vehicle Project Manager
- Ensure efficient level of governance is in place to have transparency across the portfolio (follow-up of global targets achievement like BT Transformation savings, Risks reduction, Inventories, Margin improvements
- Liaise with central PMO & Key Account Lead to ensure deployment, adherence to general practices, anticipate, alert and propose countermeasures as soon as deviations are identified.
- Ensure the entire project team resources are organised & in place for delivering on the objectives of the projects and optimize results of the project
- Capacity to identify, propose & implement improvement ideas
- Ensure Customer satisfaction is fulfilled & establish and maintain customer interfaces to promote, monitor, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
- Anticipate and satisfy the customer's needs, while operating within established policies, procedures and commercial guidelines



- PMP Certification (or equivalent)
- Extensive working project management experience including at least 3 years leading complex projects
- Experience leading large-scale engineering / systems integration projects
- Demonstrated & positive leadership capabilities inspiring others to deliver
- Excellent negotiation & problem solving capabilities
- Ability to guide, engage and convince others and communicate complex concepts to stakeholders
- Ability and experience to lead and influence in a matrix structure
- Structured, independent and hands on working approach
- An enthusiasm and interest in our products and engineering is highly desirable
- Fluent in English essential with further languages highly desirable
