Description

In your role, you will:

- Define, plan and optimize assembly sequences and / or manufacturing for the interior installation cycle or aircraft cabinets.
- Actively participate in the development and monitoring of the implementation of new manufacturing strategies related to the interior installation cycle.
- Analyze and approve the release of various engineering documents, while participating regularly in multifunctional integrated product development team (IPDT) reviews.
- Work with different suppliers and internal customers to validate the integration of new concepts.
- Assist in the definition, development, implementation and testing of new production or tooling requirements.
- Plan and implement changes in production (any changes affecting the production method) and coordinate the first article test in production.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the production line and participate in the resolution of technical problems on the aircraft systems.
- Identify non-value added activities, eliminate them and optimize production.
- Establish the requirements for ergonomics, health and safety, tooling and production equipment according to the optimal working methodology.
- Participate in the development and updating of Methods procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement throughout the Achieving Excellence System.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a technical college or university degree and/or equivalent experience.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace or other related manufacturing industry. Experience in installation/manufacturing of electrical harnesses (Installation of aircraft and/or cabinet harnesses) on a business jet program will be considered an asset.
- Vous êtes flexible et avez une facilité d'adaptation à des changements de priorités dans le contexte d'un programme de développement.
- You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing priorities in a program development environment.
- You are well organized, have excellent planning skills and are oriented towards the problem-solving methodology.
- You have a good judgment, have a sense for innovation and possess a good decisional process.
- You have good interpersonal communication skills and are customer oriented.
- You have strong project management skills and function well within a multidisciplinary team.
- You are able to read technical drawings and have good visualization skills in 3D.
- You have good knowledge of MSOffice suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- You are functional both in the French and English language, spoken and written.
- Knowledge of aircraft structures, systems or interiors will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of BAAN, AUTOCAD and CATIA V5 will be considered an asset.
