Description

Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be responsible of manage the industrialization of a Product Family in the Product Engine. Also, you will be defines the Design for Manufacture (DFM)/ Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) requirements and secures its application along the design process. And you will be define the manufacturing set-up in accordance with the standards, e. g. light factory, as well as the logistic requirements.

In your role you will:

- Representing the Manufacturing function and its sub-functions in the Product Family;
- Establishing and managing the Initial Assembly Program, the List and Content of the Workstations, the Master Production Schedule, the Fabrication Scheduling Strategies, the First Product Schedule and the Material Delivery Strategies;
- Optimizing the manufacturing strategy in accordance with the business objectives: reduction of Throughput time (TPT) inventory and cost of train as well as challenging the site's workload planning;
- Representing the Manufacturing function in the Design Review/Gate Review process;
- To follow-up and report on the status of manufacturing commitments, including potential risks and mitigations and opportunities by using the IS-tools according to the standards;
- To Engineering: Coordinating and ensuring Design for Manufacturing and provides input for installation level into PDM;
- To Procurement: Coordinating the Manufacturing support for the logistical aspects of supply. Ensure definition, review and approval of manufacturing relevant deliverables required from suppliers;
- To Product Introduction: Coordinating the Manufacturing support to Product Introduction;
- To Configuration Management: Coordinating the definition of Configuration Item List (CIL) and Traceable Item List (TIL);
- To Change Management: Ensure implementation of changes and report on changes following the Procedure GRP-000480. Contribute to the Change Control Board, if required;
- Alignment with the Product Family Chief Engineer, Product Procurement Manager, ISC lead, Cost Engineer, Requirements and Configuration Manager;
- Alignment with the Product Engine Product Operations Manager and Engine Quality lead.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a degree in Engineering, Operations or Lean Manufacturing;
- You cumulate a minimum of five (5) years of experience in management role in production area with lean manufacturing environment;
- You have depth understanding of manufacturing process in the BT Value Chain (SMB), Quality processes, related IS/ IT systems (e.g. SAP);
- You own lean manufacturing principles and practical knowledge and the ability to apply;
- You have continues improvement mind set and structured problem solving skills;
- You own sound comprehension of Planning, Materials, HSE, Project Management and basic Financial Acumen.
