Head of Business Strategy & PMO-TAME-CASB01405736

Based in St. Bruno, Quebec, you will be reporting to the Vice President of Bids, Business Strategy, and Systems Architecture and will be working closely with the President`s PMO, the Head of Sales, all functional AME VPs, and the Global Strategy group.

In this highly strategic role, you will lead the overall business strategy of the Americas region by developing the 5-year plan and following-up on its implementation, with a special focus on our PPP and turnkey opportunities. In addition, in your PMO role, you develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive the team to achieve them.

With a proven strategic mind, influential acumen, financial expertise, and communications skills, coupled with a demonstrated experience in a manufacturing matrix environment, this mandate will lead you to be fully involved in the business strategy and business development of the Americas region, securing its growth potential.

In your role you will:

- In close collaboration with the Sales team, analyse the market trends, competitor`s intelligence reports, and customer ecosystems to identify the key challenges and opportunities for the Americas region;
- Working with VPs of all functions, lead the definition of the business strategy and the elaboration of the 5-year Strategic Plan (3-5 years goal), the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives (1-3 years goal) and the elaboration of the yearly targets, the financial plan, and divisional budget (1 year goal), and the yearly divisional and functional objectives;
- Develop, implement, and lead the yearly strategy cycle that will precede the elaboration of the Strategic Plan, strategic initiatives, yearly budget, and yearly objectives. Monthly themes include market analysis, competitive intelligence, customer ecosystems, talent review, product review, footprint review, budget planning, and objectives planning;
- Organize and lead the yearly "Strategy Day" for the top 200 leaders of AME;
- Coordinate team-wide projects status reviews, tracking timelines and budgets, ensuring that objectives are being met and that issues are managed appropriately, and that road blocks are escalated to the appropriate level(s) in a timely manner;
- Monitor business processes to ensure adherence to established standards, expectations, and goals
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure whether the team and the organization are meeting their objectives and overarching strategy, in line with AES 2.0;
- Establish and maintain a "strategy War Room" where top management can link market, customers (ecosystems), competition, and our responses / actions;
- Coordinate the development and documenting of key departmental business processes and tools, and lead its implementation and monitoring.


As our ideal candidate:

- You have an Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, or engineering;
- MBA and PMI-certification would be considerer as an a strong asset;
- You have ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience, preferably in operations, project management, finance, or strategy within a manufacturing or consultancy firm;
- Experience in the passenger Rail Industry or Infrastructure Projects would be an asset;
- ave a demonstrated strategic mind as well as strong analytical and synthesizing skills with demonstrated creativity towards problem solving;
- You have excellent presentation skills necessary to understand, consolidate and present highly confidential information in an efficient way;
- You enjoy working cross-functionally and communicating with all levels of the organization, from working level to senior management;
- You have demonstrated influencing skills in a matrix-based organization or through indirect reporting lines as well as proven results in coaching project teams;
- You have strong project management and business-case building with proven results in managing projects that improve profitability;
- You are able to multi-task within a highly demanding, high performance and continuously changing environment;
- You are team-oriented, displaying ease of working with various cultures and backgrounds;
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French, Spanish an asset.
