You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Support Tier 1 Validation/Verification activities
- Prepare Tier 1 Validation/Verification Documentation (TDS and Test Report for ISTCR)
- Coordinate and Witness Tier 1 Verification Activities
- Manage and Maintain Snags raised during Verification activities (Including investigations)
- Prepare Review and Approve various deliverables (Parameter lists, ICD for instrumentation, ...)
- Manage and Maintain FRACAS PR's and Snags raised during Verification activities
- Support FTI development and integration where actioned
- Support FAL & flight test activities: FTP, snag dispositions, PR investigation and closure etc…

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You hold a University Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and have at least 5 years experience in aerospace related field.
- You have experience in the definition and certification of at least one complex aircraft control system. Flight Controls/FBW experience would be an asset.
- You shall possess a good understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and certification and have a good knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).
- You have a good knowledge of data buses, input signal management including monitoring, redundancy management and mode logic, and failure modes and effects.
- You have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- You have a good knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
- You have a good knowledge of MS Office and Requirements Management tools.
- You have good oral presentation and technical writing skills in English are required (French is an asset).
- You possess the following soft skills: Ability to work with limited supervision, be organized, a team player, a self-motivated person, Customer focused, and able to work under pressure.
- You must also show initiative, innovation, leadership, a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, adaptability, have good interpersonal communication skills, have a good engineering judgement, and drive for results.
