Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as the Internal Controls Specialist you will be part of the global finance team and be responsible for supporting internal control activities such as testing controls, compliance, accounting, reporting, etc. in order to provide and sustain quality as well as financial compliance.

In your role you will:

- Perform testing procedures to validate and assess the design and the operational effectiveness of the relevant internal controls;
- Provide support to Business Process Owners ("BPOs") in the preparation of the financial documentation;
- Identify relevant gaps and participate in gap and remediation monitoring with the BPOs;
- Monitor and report work progress/gap status;
- Support annual scoping exercise;
- Identify and report risks;
- Support process improvement for financial processes, assess and monitor the risks and the benefits of the improvements;
- Communicate and share expertise to improve the internal controls system of the of the respective organizational unit;
- Establish internal controls best practices;
- Support internal control related activities as applicable.


As our ideal candidate:

- You possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;
- You possess approximately three (3) years of experience in an auditing or accounting role;
- You demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications;
- A CPA will be considered an asset;
- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;
- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;
- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;
- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;
- You demonstrate strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Additional information: The person in this position must be able to travel domestically or internationally as required per business needs (20-30%).
