You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Be a system stress engineer working with a multifunctional team engaged in ensuring the aircraft meets its target weight
- Be responsible to analyze system installation concepts, validate design proposals and provide technical solutions that will lead to weight reduction ideas
- Provide technical recommendation to actively mitigate risks of weight increase
- Be responsible of the static and fatigue calculation for components using finite element and hand calculation.
- Support the designer into material selection, thickness analysis, and other similar structural elements
- Actively participate in peer reviews and workshops to propose new ideas
- Help the Built of business case for concept/technical solution validation

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You possess a BAC in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with a minimum of eight (8) years' experience as a stress engineer and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in aircraft design
- You have excellent knowledge of aircraft system installation components, secondary structures and, preferably, a good knowledge of primary structure requirements.
- You have experience in stress analysis and FEM
- You have practical knowledge and experience of Nastran/Patran
- You have practical knowledge and experience of Catia V5 & Enovia
- Good understanding of stress methodologies, GD&T, lean manufacturing and aircraft certification requirements
- Must be fluent in English, must be able to read and write in English
