the evolution of mobility

You will be part of the Product Development Engineering, Aerospace team where it all starts for Bombardier as it sets the stage to take full advantage of its investments and the tremendous growth potential of its new products. The organization is responsible for bringing new aircraft programs to their successful entry-into-service. Currently, these new products are the all-new CSeries commercial aircraft and the high-performance Global 7000/Global 8000 business jets.

In your role, you will:

- Study noise and vibration problems, and develop solutions on production aircraft fleet.

- Optimize passive insulation treatments in the interior design through modeling and testing.

- Investigate system noise problems.

- Develop vibro-acoustic models of aircraft using Finite Elements (FEM), Boundary Elements (BEM), Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), and Ray Tracing.

- Use and develop numerical tools to elaborate design solutions for future aircraft development.

- Participate in acoustics and vibration testing, on ground and in flight. Analysis of noise and vibration test data.

- Produce cabin noise and vibration surveys and reports.

- Interact with in-house technical groups and external vendors


As our ideal candidate,

- You have a Master degree in Acoustics and Vibration engineering. Experience in aerospace or with transportation vehicles is an asset.
- You should have knowledge in the following area:
- Acoustics and vibration theoretical fundamentals.
- Acoustics and vibration testing and analysis procedures.
- Basic knowledge of modeling with Finite Elements (FEM), Boundary Elements (BEM), Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), and Ray Tracing.
- Possess good interpersonal skills as well as good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be available to travel on short term assignments.
- Must be able to communicate in French and English, both spoken and written.

- Experience of the following platforms is an asset:
- Equipment: Bruel & Kjaer, LMS, and Head Acoustics
- Software: Matlab, Nastran, Virtual Lab.
