In your role, you will:

- Support and improve the evolving labour relations model; support managers in applying policies and procedures;
- Administration and maintenance of collective agreements, grievance files and labour relations files;
- Coordinate and report labour relations, union payroll, time and attendance and human resources metrics
- Independent handling and decision making with respect to grievance settlements and labour relations;
- Take part in developing/reaching HR/LR annual objectives, strategies as they relate to master plan;
- Provide advanced labour relations management expertise, support and coaching to HR managers HRBP's and other advisors on a daily basis;
- Negotiate and discuss changes to rules, policies, and procedures with the various labour relations committees;
- Ensure that a harmonious and respectful labour relations climate is maintained;
- Act proactively and very independently in seeking solutions during dispute resolution;
- Participate in managing grievance and arbitration process through all stages;
- Facilitate actions to resolve employee issues and escalate to appropriate HRBP and/or management team;
- Review employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have a bachelor's degree in industrial relations or administration; CHRP in progress;
- You have four to seven years' experience in human resources, with solid labour relations skills; and a demonstrated ability to negotiate, handle performance management and progressive discipline processes;
- You have 3 to 6 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Demonstrated interpersonal (develop a network, inspire confidence, good listening skills);
- You have very strong writing and negotiating skills and are skilled in labour law/labour jurisprudence;
- You have the ability to independently manage several priorities/projects at the same time;
- You have solid communication skills: Communication strategies, Group presentation, Spoken and written communication
- Demonstrated superior computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Lotus Notes
