Project Manager - Bids role
The hiring location can be set to any of the following: Derby (UK), Hennigsdorf (Germany), Crespin (France), or Johannesburg (South Africa)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Project Manager - Bids will be responsible and accountable for ensuring all EMEA Systems Integration bids are best in class in regards to Project Management Processes and maturity.

The Project Manager will work with the various Bid Managers in the region and shall take ownership for the project management inputs into all bids, including but not limited to the Project Management Plan, WBS, Schedule formulation, Risk & Opportunity Management, Requirements Management, Change Management, Configuration Management and Project Execution strategy.

The Project Manager will work closely with Group Project Management and the EMEA PMO to ensure compliance with Organisational Process Assets.

IN YOUR ROLE YOU WILL:

- Prepare the Project Management Plan for all bids in the region and ensure all supporting Project Management processes & functional documents are in place and to the required level of completeness and quality
- Lead the risk and opportunity workshops with the bid teams to ensure robust identification, evaluation and mitigation of project-specific risks and opportunities
- Deliver complete, robust and optimized ROP database to the Bid Manager
- Work with the planning manager, bid manager, Product Engine and functional bid team members to prepare a solid work breakdown structure for each bid with clear work packages defined
- Work with the planning manager, bid manager and HR representatives to develop a robust Detailed Project Schedule and Resource plan for each bid that meets the project delivery requirements of the Customer
- Work with the Product Engine and Legal teams to ensure all technical and commercial requirements are captured and assessed

Qualifications

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years working experience in Project Management
- PMP Certified is a strong benefit
- Strong understanding of Project Finance
- Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) of Project Planning (Primavera knowledge is a benefit)
- Experience of Turnkey Construction Projects is a benefit
- Ability to work effectively in a team and also take own initiative
- Ability to think analytically and logically
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Rigor and determination to always challenge & find the best possible solution
- English business fluent is mandatory for this role
- Willingness to travel up to 25% per year internationally
