We are looking to recruit a new Material Planner based on our offices in Derby, United Kingdom.

YOUR ROLE:

As the Material Planner you will monitor the production material delivery status on a project level. You will initiate, track and proactively manage to resolution any material issues.

YOUR TASKS:

- You will have to monitor and maintain the project inventory levels and to ensure that these are managed against targets set and Project Strategy.
- You will have to review the forecasts in order to predict peaks and troughs and to ensure that the smart stock holding is according to the value report guide and internal work in progress levels are maintained.
- You will coordinate material requirements with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) team in order to manage and coordinate material availability.
- You will have to ensure that the material requirements for future cars are covered and are being actioned accordingly with the QCD team providing full visibility to the Project and Production team.
- During critical times and phases you will ensure all interfacing functions are working in a harmonised manner in order to ensure material availability to the production line.
- You will verify PMRF form raised by production, for return of material to stores.
- You will coordinate the Q01 Packages, ensuring part packages are returned to a good state using the reject returns.
- You will act as project interface with other internal departments to coordinate timely deliveries, and aid expedite / de-expedite activity.

Qualifications

YOUR REQUIREMENTS:

- You hold a bachelor degree in a related field of activities
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
- You possess working knowledge of material, logistics and production processes.
- You have a good technical background
- You possess good knowledge of SAP and other relevant IT systems (BOS, SMB).
- You are a good communicator, with very good team working abilities.
- You have self-confidence to drive process improvement projects
