Validation Test Engineer (m/f)-TEMA-UKDY01392763

We are currently looking to recruit a Validation Test Engineer (m/f) for our site in Derby


The Validation Test Engineer is responsible for executing tests as described in the Test Specifications and the management of on train activities & Staff. This person will also be the Interface with Project engineers in order to facilitate the understanding of the global test strategy & integration into the project plan while also ensuring a test is executed as described in each test specification. The Validation Plans & Testing Legacy UK engineer will also propose future development of the test review process.

Your Tasks

- Execution of a test following the methodology and procedure defined in the test specification
- Day to day management of a specified test train
- Before the start of testing each day the Test Engineer shall ensure that all instrumentation and equipment is available
- Interpret and analyse results taken during the test. If any test results are outside the permitted range or if any unexpected event occurs, a decision to complete test should be made
- Ensure that all pre-test paper work has been completed
- Ensure that all staff are briefed on what test is going to occur
- Ensure that all TPRs (issues raised on test) and events are documented correctly


- Languages: Fluent in English

- Degree in Electronics/ Electrics/ Technical engineering preferred

- A technical qualification in Engineering is considered a plus but not mandatory

- Demonstrated experience in planning and testing

- Relevant experience in electrical engineering within the railway industry

- Problem solving and customer orientated skills required
