Job Description

The Project Coordinator works collaboratively with the Project Managers, Estimators, Field Staff, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Customers on the delivery of construction projects. The Project Coordinator will be required to handle many tasks at one time while maintaining their composure, efficiency, and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Manage and distribute several project documents
* Participate in weekly internal team meetings with PM, superintendent, field engineers, accountant and interns for consistent project knowledge
* Set up and maintain Integrated Project Website (IPW)
* Set up and maintain document archive folders
* Maintain contract summary spreadsheet
* Perform subcontractor audits
* Create close out requirement list from project spec book
* Process accounts payable
* Process/assist in payroll for field employees
* Order supplies for jobsite office and coordinate catering events
* Manage jobsite office (copy machines, cell phones, business cards, etc.)
* Maintain FTP site for electronic distribution and troubleshoot website issues
* Collection and scan of daily superintendent and subcontractor daily reports
* Assist with monthly owner reports and financial dashboard
* Owner coordination of badge and parking passes on jobsite
* Work with project team on financial and change management tracking
* Write Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for CM and self-perform projects.
* Other duties, responsibilities, or activities may be assigned at any time.

Required Experience

Two-year business/accounting degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Extensive knowledge of general and industrial construction or comparable subcontractor construction experience is desired. Previous accounting and payroll responsibilities is preferred. Proficient communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Other essential competencies include ability to work independently, as well as be collaborative in a team environment, detail oriented, goal-oriented, motivational, and persistent, an analytical thinker with the ability to grasp new concepts and assignments quickly, capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear. The employee regularly is required to walk and reach with hands. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard, regularly travels (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation), and occasionally performs work on-site at construction work sites. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently.
