Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Biotherapeutics Discovery department located at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. As an Intern, you will be involved in development and validation of mathematical models that describe pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) of antibody in preclinical animals and humans.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Works closely with scientists in the New Biological Entities - Pharmacokinetics group to execute research plans
* Leverages literature information to develop and validate mathematical models
* Devises novel approaches for model development
* Ensures quality and transferability of models
* Prepares clear technical reports and oral presentations; Presents responsibly and defends own work

Requirements:

Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.

Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.

Overall, cumulative GPA (from last completed quarter) must be at least 3.000 (on 4.0 scale) or better (No rounding up).

Major must be related to the field of internship.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

* Ongoing undergraduate or graduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biostatistics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, biology, pharmacology, or related fields
* Good writing and oral communication skills
* Experience using one or more commercially available modeling/simulation platforms is desirable
* Theoretical knowledge of pharmacokinetics, PK/PD, or quantitative systems pharmacology is desirable

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
