Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
*The Corporate Development department leads enterprise-level acquisition and divestiture activities related to: industry consolidation, Blue Cross Blue Shield plan consolidation, corporate structure, core health business (capabilities and membership) and two Diversified Business Unit ("DBU") companies: Life Specialty Ventures ("LSV") and Prime Therapeutics. Additionally, Corporate Development advises and provides oversight of DBU acquisition activities as outlined in the Diversification Development Governance charter
*The Merger & Acquisition Consultant position will work closely with the Senior Director, Corporate Development and various teams across the enterprise to achieve the goal of effectively identifying potential targets, acquiring those targets and managing an overall portfolio of assets including potential divestitures. Will participate in: all aspects of transaction support, business case development, identifying potential clients, planning and executing negotiations, due diligence, transaction structuring, closing, and the maintenance and development of Corporate Development tools and templates.

Job Requirements:
*Bachelors degree
*6 + years of related financial experience
*Hands on merger, acquisition or divestiture experience with the bulk of professional experience working on $50+ million transactions.
*Strong interest and comptency in financial analysis, pro forma development and valuation modeling.

Business Specific Criteria (Preferred Skills):
*Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant or Masters in Business Administration (with concentration in Corporate Finance) or Chartered Financial Analyst
*Investment Banking, Management Consulting or Top-tier Accounting Firm experience.
