About the role:

Our Social Stories team finds interesting stories, researches those topics, and creates compelling short-form video content around unique sports, athletes and events. This position will focus on mainstream sports, sports culture, inspirational/human-interest stories and a variety of other sports, events and trends for custom social videos.

During this internship, you will help the team research content, monitor social media, compile assets and publish content. Other responsibilities would include administering story databases and content planning, assisting the editorial staff in new story idea generation, and conducting editorial and video research. Overall, we want this intern to dig into what's happening in the social world of sports. You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple teams at B/R.


* Assist in researching content ideas
* Compile video and photo assets
* Get content quality controlled (QC'd) and published to CMS
* Build GFX for studio shoots
* Keep databases up to date for all content posted to B/R's social platforms
* Working knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat


* Passion for pop culture, sports, and digital media
* Ability to work in a team environment with flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends
* Able to handle last-minute or quick-turnaround deadlines
* Experience working for media organization or student web publication a plus
* Basic web publishing skills a plus
* Deep understanding of current and emerging social platforms
* Major in media or video production preferred

Internship dates are from June 11 - August 17, 2018. This is a paid internship and all interns are expected to work 40 hours per week. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently matriculating college/post grad students.
