Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support HR Business Partners in the delivery of BlackRock’s annual talent practices, talent and core HR processes and other key HR strategic projects for designated client groups by preparing, contributing and delivering client-ready materials
  • Analyze, synthesize and present HR data and reports back to the HR Business
  • Partner with the HR operational teams to address issues in worker data related to assigned client groups; prepare and submit worker changes, including but not limited to mobility requests, organizational changes
  • Drive solutions through critical assessment and delivery in support of core HR processes; promote consistency of approach and recommend continuous improvement opportunities
  • Develop high-performing partnerships with the broader HR Business Partner team, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, Legal, Finance and other firm partners to effectively manage issues/escalations ensuring risk mitigation and seamless resolution
  • Serve as an advocate and catalyst for One BlackRock by reinforcing and evolving BlackRock’s culture and principles




Qualifications and Skills:

  • Solid experience in an HR generalist support role, preferably in the financial services, asset management or investment banking industry
  • Experience in analyzing and presenting HR data and reports
  • Analytical and creative-capable of flexing solutions to changing demands: anticipating the local, regional, global impact
  • Experience working across cultures and in a matrixed environment strongly preferred
  • Experience working across the various HR disciplines including compensation, recruiting and talent management
  • Ability to support firm-wide talent initiatives with excellence in a fast paced, global corporate environment; commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to build and sustain high performing partnerships, both locally and globally
  • Strong client relationship management and consulting capabilities
  • Capable of rapidly building strong, effective and trusted relationships and networks
  • Highly motivated, energizing and inspiring others to seek higher levels of performance
  • Strong communication skills, ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
  • Commercial acumen and demonstrated interest in financial services, investing and asset management


Education requirement:

  • BA/BS degree; certifications and course work in specific areas of HR expertise preferred



  • Knowledge of Oracle HCM Fusion and SuccessFactors preferred
  • Proficient level on Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
