Job DescriptionResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for building, maintaining and/or delivering Information Technology services (i.e. multiple business areas, geographies, platforms, and/or applications, etc.) for the Biogen Learning organization. Delivers projects/services via a combination of internal, contract and outsourced capabilities. Manages relationships and coordinates business needs amongst senior HRIT staff and business customers. Capable of managing cross-functional teams or highly matrixed teams.

Understands HR and learning business processes and business challenges and ensures solution delivery meets business need and expectation through business requirements and thorough understanding of business drivers and strategy. Aligns business strategies with innovative process or technology solutions, working closely with technical teams to develop technical requirements and solutions. Be a thought leader for learning technologies

Leads cross-functional teams to identify and develop technology initiatives and new capabilities. Is accountable for projects throughout entire lifecycle; able to make critical decisions with limited or no input or guidance

Is proactive in identifying solutions or opportunities that can help improve Business processes across functions. Point of contact for business focused capability questions and contribute to and help build overall business technology strategy and be able to identify and leverage resources across HRIT, IT and the business; as well as escalate critical issues to appropriate leadership. Able to communicate and articulate complex problems to a wide audience, including senior management.

Builds strong relationships with the leadership and appropriate peer teams in HR and IT. Influences strategic thinking to make use of technology to improve operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Strong understanding of SAP Successfactors is a must.

Meets with HR and IT functions and other customers to understand requirements to define Proof of Concepts, Business Cases or Solution Designs and to understand the impact of those solutions on existing systems.

Understands business processes and provides direction and influence for continuous improvement of existing processes leveraging technology. Understands opportunities for improvements or redesign work and leverages team also reporting to Associate Director HRIT.

Applies appropriate financial concepts (e.g. ROI, Cost/Benefit) to determine business implications of technology decisions. Measure and report on value of investments after implementation.

Formulates approaches that achieve desired business objectives, including defining system scope and objectives and assisting with business case justification and presentation to Management.

Prepare and maintain IT annual operating expense and capital budgets for business units.

Evaluates unit and employee performance and prepares appraisals (if applicable).

• Significant experience in multiple organizational contexts, linking HR technology to business needs.
EducationBachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
