Mechanical Engineer Intern

Description Summary:

Candidate shall have experience with using AutoCAD for reviewing drawings. Candidate shall be capable of designing mechanical fixturing and performing a tolerance analysis on existing designs. Candidate may be required to support DOEs relating to component assembly and should be able to put together a final report into Microsoft Excell/Microsoft Powerpoint for engineering review. Intern may be required to interact with other manufacturing engineers, quality engineering, product engineering and production personnel.

Special Skills/Requirements:

Knowledge of using Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments and Process Improvement Methodology. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and AutoCAD. Some travel to local MACOM sites may be required.

Degree level and years experience:

* Mechanical Engineering major, College Sophomore
* US citizen or permanent resident required
