Job Description

Growing Westlake Company is looking for highly motivated individuals to work in a fast paced environment. Candidates must be reliable, trustworthy and hardworking individuals.

About the Opportunity

  • Reviews and contacts consumers regarding charged off past due accounts. Uses lawful collection techniques to maximize collections and achieve objectives including skip tracing, telephone contact, negotiating and recommendation for legal outsourcing.
  • Recognizes different account situations and uses appropriate collection techniques. Ability to make suggestions for the handling of account situations including: bankruptcy, deceased, legal, fraud, and disputes.
  • Complies with collection policies, various state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing credit and collections
  • Verifies accuracy of accounts. Maintains consumer demographic information and input of collection notes into our collection system.

Responsibilities

  • Updates and documents account information accordingly
  • Locates consumer through acceptable skip tracing techniques.
  • Adheres to all collection laws and internal guidelines.
  • Analyzes consumer information.
  • Follows prescribed guidelines for bankruptcy, fraud and disputes.
  • Provide assistance to other team members.
  • Responds to, redirects or escalates calls as appropriate.
  • Works with minimal direct supervision.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Meet individual collection goals set by management.
  • Negotiates proper solutions and acceptable settlements.
  • Communicating with consumers via inbound and outbound calling.
  • Ability to calculate basic math.
  • Maintains a positive attitude while working in a fast paced and changing environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Maintain a regular 8 hour shift Monday-Friday
  • Working certain weekends may be required
  • Excellent research and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge/previous experience with post charge off debt
  • Must have shown ability to multi-task.
  • Must have shown ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills.
  • Show ability to prioritize.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus

Shifts may vary and subject to change based on business needs.

Compensation is hourly plus commission.
