Job Description

Purpose of Position

Development of college students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree in geographic information systems or related technical field. Intern will be exposed to a wide variety of projects, calling for capital expenditures ranging from several thousands to several million dollars.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

Under the direction of the manager, engineering records, assist in the development of professional visual aids, cartographic, photographic and communications media essential to the development of projects within the NNG organization.

Coordinate with the customer, the requirements of base geographic data to be utilized for cartographic services.

Assist in the maintenance and up-to-date index of maps generated and utilized by the department.

Research records for information as required or requested.

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assig

College student currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in geographic information systems or related technical field.

Knowledge and ability to use computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) and associated software, manual drafting techniques and company survey standards and practices.

Working knowledge of general technical areas such as cartography, graphics design.

Understanding of related drafting tools, procedures and techniques.

Working knowledge of ESRI ArcMap or cartographic related hardware.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
