An integral part of our customer service focus, includes contact centres across Canada supporting all of our Bell Mobility and Bell Residential Services customers. Our  Customer Operations team is responsible for strategy, design and delivery of core call centre tools and processes, including queue strategy, routing, and call monitoring tools.


Position Description:
Bell is currently seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Support Developer specializing in ETL processes and relational databases.  This is a terrific opportunity for a seasoned professional to help transform the organization and drive one of the most significant strategic mandates within Bell.  As part of this team, you will have opportunities to build your leadership skills, shape the next generation of Bell BI and drive important business decisions working with new, cutting-edge BI technologies.

As part of the largest business intelligence team within Bell, this individual will help guide the evolution of our ETL design and support processes.  A successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of data, sourced across all lines of business within Bell Canada to drive key decisions and officially reported company metrics.  The role requires you to work with business clients, fellow analytics professionals and technology partners to support, design and maintain best in class operational BI processes.  This position requires advanced level problem solving and development skills using ETL and database tools including SAS and SQL as well as excellent communication and prioritization abilities.  This individual will have the opportunity to work closely with other best in class technologies including Tableau, Microstrategy, Hadoop, IBM Campaign Unica/Interact and Cisco Information Server. 

Job Duties/ Accountabilities:

  • Significant experience using ETL tools such as SAS Data Integration Studio, DataStage or Informatica to transform large data sets across relational database platforms- 
  • Advanced level SQL skills to aggregate, filter and analyze large data sets
  • Able to debug code written by other people; including understanding the business logic implemented and ensuring the code is optimized
  • Experience using SAS products such as Base SAS, SAS Macros, Enterprise Guide and Data Integration studio
  • Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient code
  • Experience reading, understanding and contributing to business and technical documents
  • Able to prioritize, multitask and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills



  • 2+ years ETL experience
  • 2+ years SQL experience
  • 1+ years developing and optimizing queries on Teradata
  • 1+ years using SAS products with emphasis on Base SAS, SAS Macros, Enterprise Guide or Data Integration studio
  • Experience with Unix/Linux, especially in scripting on these platforms
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microstrategy is an asset
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop is an asset
  • Experience working with telecom data is an asset
