The Role:

Bell Wholesale provides a wide range of Products and Services to telecommunications companies (Carriers, ISPs, Resellers) from across North America and from around the globe. The Emerging Services team manages leading edge Broadband and IP services across Canada, and is a key growth area for Bell Wholesale both today and in the future.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Product Management / Marketing team and the Sales organization to support key initiatives and pricing to ensure the successful growth of the Internet Connect and Dedicated Internet Access product portfolio. This is a unique, strategic opportunity to be a key contributor in actively managing the product, price, place, and promotion for these IP Transit services and to ensure that the portfolio continues to grow into the future.

Delivered over Canada’s largest fibre optic network, IC-DIA offers flexible, secure, dedicated Internet connectivity.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Providing RFP/Bid pricing support
  • Create and maintain standard Price Books and Costing Tables as well as develop tactical non-standard pricing on a case-by case basis
  • Creating and maintaining promotions
  • Support the Product Management team in creating mid and long term plans and budgets
  • Create and communicate the “Value Prop” of the Products within the Portfolio 
  • Tactical execution of day-to-day activities related to product pricing, including financial analysis
  • Monitor, understand and apply current Market trends for IP Transit and apply in the day-to-day management of the portfolio
  • Perform financial analysis related to pricing, and work within the Bell processes to ensure appropriate approvals are secured in time
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create and update product collateral

 

Essential Skills:

  • The ability, drive and desire to grow into the next level role, taking on more responsibility and autonomy. 
  • University degree in Engineering, Computing, Finance or Business
  • Previous Product Management or Finance experience is highly desirable
  • Previous experience working within the Telecommunications industry with an understanding of IP technologies is desirable
  • Good understanding of financial analysis
  • Proficient Excel and Power point skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented, comfortable with processes and can execute to tight deadlines
  • Ability to influence immediate and extended multi-disciplinary teams
  • Self-confident with the ability to present and interact with senior and executive management
