A Day in the Life of an Non Destructive Evaluation Engineering Intern:

Bell is seeking students for an Non Destructive Evaluation Engineering Internship who are interested in learning how to provide specialized Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) support on various rotorcraft parts during component structural testing, flight test support.

Responsibilities May Include:

* NDE support to various engineering research and development programs.
* Assisting in the development, fabrication and implementation of nondestructive testing inspection procedures, reference standards, and inspection fixtures.

The intern will work full-time during the 11 weeks of the internship.

Education Requirements:

* Must be a current student enrolled in a university and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher at the time of the Summer Intern Program.
* Some training or coursework on non-destructive inspection techniques and methods is strongly preferred.
* Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the internship.
* 3.0 minimum overall, undergraduate GPA.

Minimum Requirements for an Non Destructive Evaluation Engineering Intern at Bell:

* Must be able to fulfill the full length of the Summer Intern Program (May 26th - August 7th).
* Working knowledge of non-destructive techniques and methods, and aircraft or industry specifications governing non-destructive inspections process controls, testing and evaluation
* Experience in report writing and preparing technical presentations.
* Highly organized individual with the ability to create tests plans and execute to completion with support from their peers.
* General familiarity of Six Sigma tools including process mapping, design of experiments and measurement systems analysis.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
