Job Description

Electrical Engineering opportunities at various skills levels are available in the development, integration, and testing of Flight Control Systems, Avionics and Electrical Systems, E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects), Wiring, and Systems Integration Labs.

This entry level position is located at Bell Helicopter's Ft. Worth headquarters facility.

The Flight Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Design and test of Flight Control Systems (FCS) with embedded DO-178 software and DO-254 complex hardware, including Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems
* System and software design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing in desktop simulation environment and systems integration labs, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification

The Avionics & Electrical Systems Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Design and test of Avionics & Electrical Systems with integration of complex software and hardware, including Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems, Integrated Avionics Systems and Displays, Communication and Navigation Systems, Mission Equipment Integration, Sensors and Vehicle Health Monitoring Systems
* System and software design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing in desktop simulation environment and systems integration labs, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification

The E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects) Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Provide MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 Avionics aircraft system and component level design oversight in EMC/EMI fields to include bonding, grounding, shielding, EMI prediction, EMI analysis, conducted and radiated interference, lightning protection and HIRF.
* Develop and review aircraft level, system level, and component level EMC/EMI qualification requirements and test plans; conduct or witnesses tests; create and review test reports.

The Wiring System Integration Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Develop aircraft wiring architecture, diagrams and schematics using Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Systems (CHS) toolset and release wiring drawings in coordination with Flight Control, Avionics, and Electrical Systems engineers and Wire Routing/Installation design engineers
* Support wiring supplier management, aircraft build installation, aircraft testing, and aircraft/system qualification and certification

The Systems Integration Lab Engineer will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

* Design, build, and test of Systems Integration Labs for systems integration, software, and hardware-in-the-loop testing of Flight Control, Avionics, Electrical, and Actuation Systems including Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Systems
* Electronic hardware and software design, requirements management, system schematic and wiring definition, interface management, system integration, verification and validation testing in systems integration labs, aircraft flight test support, and aircraft/system qualification and certification support

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree is required. Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering is preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Computer Science, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
* Master's Degree in the Engineering disciplines mentioned above is preferred.

Position Requirements:

* This is an entry level position.
* Familiarity with commercial and military qualification and certification of aircraft systems is preferred.
* Experience with Primary Development Environment is preferred:
* MathWorks MATLAB / Simulink with Stateflow and Embedded Coder
