Job Description

Beacon Hill has an opportunity for a Lead Software Test Engineer with our client located near Medina, Ohio.


  • Lead testing teams through all aspects of the program/projects test efforts
  • Implement automation where necessary
  • Provide estimates and lead test planning and integrations with overall development plan
  • Communicate issues, risks and status of activities/assignments
  • Identify, mitigate and lead issues and risks found during testing through resolution
  • Deliver automated solutions where appropriate
  • Monitor and assign work to test analysts and work with other project resources to ensure success of all testing efforts
  • Coach test analysts and ensure deliverables are met
  • Manage defects and interface with cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for test plan execution and ensuring test cases provide complete coverage of requirements
  • Establish and provide test and quality metrics


  • Knowledge about SDLC and Testing methodologies, tools and processes
  • Proficient experience working in an agile development environment
  • Experience in of data driven testing methodology and Risk based testing
  • Demonstrated understanding of:
  • XML structures and functions
  • Web Services structures and functions
  • SOA technologies
  • Experience in the followings tools/Applications
  • HP Application Life Cycle Management (ALM)
  • Experience in relational database(s) and SQL
  • MS Excel/Word/SharePoint
  • HTML
  • Cloud based solutions a plus
