Job Description

* W2 Only-Contract with possible permanent hire. NO CORP-TO-CORPS.*

  • WAM Functional role- Develops solutions to leverage Oracle applications functionality for WAM and suggests process improvements.
  • WAM Functional role- Understands business needs, develops proof of concept, and modifies system configurations as required including setting up approval workflows, defining security policy, reporting administration, UDFs, etc.
  • WAM Functional role- Understands enterprise asset management concepts and best practices, suggests and deploys solutions for business improvements.
  • Works closely with business and technical teams to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for Oracle applications based on business and technological needs. Guides and develops technical objects for conversions, interfaces, enhancements, and customization of Oracle applications and other applications.
  • Understands business needs, develops proof of concept and modifies system configurations as required including application set up, flex-fields, workflow, profile options, etc.
  • Creates new standards, periodically reviews and updates the standards, and establishes new process improvements for the latest technological changes.
  • Prepares user training documents on new functionalities and provides user trainings.
  • Manages projects and implementations, plans and organizes tasks, reports progress, and manages consultants for implementations.
  • Performs support of enterprise applications through analysis, review and enhancements to increase the operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
  • Works jointly with District departments, IT development team and external consultants to develop end users' business requirements and operational needs, questions of system intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and internal checks and controls in conformance with information systems and standards.
  • Prepares test scenarios and data, analyzes test results, and specifies data control procedures for new and existing requirements. Tests systems for correct functionality and checks work completion for accuracy.
  • Guides the internal and external team members during project implementations.
  • Works closely with users to resolve production issues independently for on premise EBS and oracle cloud applications.
  • Converts business needs into respective functional documents and maintains documents.
  • Tracks and manages requests and issues, and generates period report to management.
  • Keeps track of the patching and development plans for testing and implementation.
  • Provides user training and documentation to support applications.
  • Keeps current on new developments in information technology and their application to make recommendations for implementing appropriate technology advancements.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

Oracle EBS WAM Functional

  • Candidate must possess six (6) years of experience in Information Technology. Experience must include at least four (4) years of experience working with asset management applications like Oracle WAM/EAM, CitiWorks, Maximo, etc. Candidate must have experience in any enterprise application full cycle implementation, data conversion, interfaces, and customizations.
  • Candidate must possess knowledge in asset management concepts, practices, tools and technology; configuration, set up workflows, security policies, defining roles, etc.; software development, implementation, and support process; data extraction and conversion process for implementation. Candidate should be familiar with development tools like Workflow, reporting tools, SQL, PLSQL; Oracle EBS applications specifically supply chain modules; familiarity with the standard production support process, and use of any version control and migration tool.
  • Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to high quality service. Must be able to understand the needs of the business and identify solutions to fit those needs, package key information in a way that is easy to understand, and propose alternative solutions and corrective actions. Must possess strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills to effectively prioritize workloads based on available resources and time constraints.
