Job Description

This position will focus on neurodegeneration and will require knowledge and expertise in genetics and the use of Drosophila, cellular model systems,as well as molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.

* Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
* Collects, compiles and analyzes data.
* Documents results of experiments.
* Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
* Enters data into research database.
* Cleans equipment and work area.
* Assists in the preparation of laboratory reports.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a basic science or equivalent education.

No experience required. Preferred: Previous experience in mouse handling and molecular biology is desired.

* Highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.
* Requires the technical ability to complete procedures and properly record results.
* Frequently handles/works with biohazards or risks for potential job-related injury, such as those found in an ordinary laboratory or clinic environment.
