Job Description

Staff Scientist with significant experience in the areas of molecular immunology, dendritic cell biology, mouse model development, and translational research in histiocytic and lymphoproliferative disorders. The Staff Scientist will work on projects which include: 1)In vitro analysis of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in histiocytic and lymphoproliferative disorders; 2)Development of xenograft mouse models of histiocytic and lymphoproliferative disorders; 3)Development of transgenic mouse models of histiocytic and lymphoproliferative disorders; 4)In vitro and in vivo testing of novel agents for treatment of histiocytic and lymphoproliferative disorders. The Staff Scientist will supervise aspects of work with learners (undergraduates, medical students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical fellows); maintain meticulous and detailed notes and regularly update databases; prepare presentations and manuscripts for presentation.

Required: Doctoral degree in Cell Biology or other related field. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.

Required: Three years of research experience. A strong background in experimental immunology (functional assays, flow cytometry, CyTOF, FACS sorting), cell biology (proliferation assays, apoptosis assays, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescent microscopy), molecular biology (DNA, RNA and protein analysis, whole exome sequencing, RNAseq, epigenetic analysis) experimental mouse model development (xenograft development and maintenance, transgenic development and maintenance, colony maintenance, administration of drugs, animal surgery) is required.
