Basin Electric Power Cooperative Dakota Gasification Company

Enterprise Application Architect II or Enterprise Application Architect III

• Responsible for the conceptualizing, designing, development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of energy trading and risk management systems.
• Must have considerable knowledge of application development and application lifecycles, data analysis and implementation of applications; Structured Query Language (SQL); and knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience in the development of C# with SQL Server, or Oracle Databases;
• This position will work with Energy Marketing, Risk Management and Finanacial systems and involve development and require a strong background in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Previous experience in supporting an enterprise ETRM system is preferred.

About Basin Electric Power Cooperative

Basin Electric is a consumer-owned, regional cooperative headquartered in Bismarck. It generates and transmits electricity to member rural electric systems in nine states: Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. These member systems distribute electricity to about 1.7 million consumers. The power plants operated by Basin Electric include: two coal-based power plants in North Dakota - the Antelope Valley Station, Beulah, and the Leland Olds Station, Stanton; a coal-based power plant in Wyoming - the Laramie River Station, Wheatland; an oil-based peaking station - the Spirit Mound Station, Vermillion, S.D.; nine combustion-turbine generators (natural gas) in the Gillette, Wyo., area; four wind turbines - two near Minot, N.D., and two near Chamberlain, S.D. By the end of 2003, Basin Electric will purchase the entire production from two 40-megawatt wind farms, one near Edgeley, N.D. and another near Highmore, S.D.
