Where the Chemistry Happens…

This position will be responsible for operating the Cellasto Test Lab that performs testing on Cellasto® components in support of the Cellasto Sales & Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Chemical Development Groups.

Test Lab Engineer (1702756) - Wyandotte, MI

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Set up and perform static and dynamic tests on servo hydraulic test machines.
- Prepare well-organized, accurate, and timely test reports.
- Interface with internal and external customers on test requirements and results.
- Scheduling testing and test equipment to meet customer needs and requirements.
- Maintain test machines and lab equipment, including coordination of Maintenance and third-party contractor support.
- Calibrate and verify test equipment, including associated calibration records.
- Prepare and startup new test equipment and procedures.
- Identify and plan for new lab equipment needs.
- Please note that this is not a wet chemical testing position.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Bachelor + first experience (2+yrs) OR Master

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Ability to work independently without daily supervision.

Capability of planning and organizing work while responding promptly to the changing needs of multiple design engineers and customers.

Experience using software controlled lab and test equipment.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.

Strong EHS orientation and emphasis on personnel and lab equipment/process safety.

Previous experience performing destructive part testing or material testing such as tensile strength, compression set, and tear is a plus.
