Where the Chemistry Happens…

You will lead the development of the daily execution team to ensure the execution of the production plan is achieved in a cost-effective, reliable, and safe manner. You will be responsible for leadership and development of employees in an organization with approximately 40 direct/indirect reports.

- Establish plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets to assure continuous improvement.
- Drive EHS (Safety) and LEAN continuous improvement.
- Optimize fixed and variable manufacturing unit costs and provide technical support for cost-effective operations.
- Provide operations coordination for asset optimization by coordinating with Maintenance, Asset Management, strategic team, and other daily execution teams.
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to operations, maintenance, and the business in support of the production plan.
- Provide leadership, development, succession planning/knowledge transfer, and performance management of the Daily Execution Team

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 10 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical/petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams;
- OR a High School diploma/equivalent and 18 years of manufacturing experience with minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams in a chemical/petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated hands-on plant production experience.
- Polyamide 6 technology or polymer experience is desired.
- Continuous improvement experience (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.

This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
