At the BASF Huntsville Site, we make the chemistry and technology used in vehicle catalytic convertors and other environmental products. As part of our team, employees help us conceive, design, implement and validate new equipment, technologies and processes to help make our world's environment cleaner. Production Associates assist by the coordination of metal control efforts; providing the necessary reporting for teams to include daily production status reports, month end reports and production reports for team. PAs also assist their area with the production and scheduling of slurry to coat substrates.

Where the Chemistry Happens…

Production Associate-FoilI (1703199) - Huntsville, AL

Reviews master production schedules and updates them as necessary. Creates and updates Gantt Charts to reflect production. Creates job packages with appropriate BOM's, Blueprint Drawings, and Lot Packages for coating and assembly. * Maintains KPI databases based on production, as well as other databases to reflect current production.
- Keys production reports, BOMs, and PLT's into SAP on a daily and weekly basis.
- Maintains and controls PM levels and inventory. Break and mix PM for production. Update lot packages to reflect PM usage. Transfer PM from vault to vault. Make SAP transfers as well. Receives PM into the site physically and through SAP transactions.
- Maintains and controls inventory levels, onsite as well as at the offsite warehouse, through cycle counts. Also, maintains scrap levels through SAP.
- Creates, updates and maintains all work instructions, forms, SOPs, and visual aids.
- Creates Bill of Ladings and Packing Lists for shipments; also, create all necessary labels for shipping products to the customer.
- Creates, change, and issue out process orders for production.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and the tools to use to continually improve departments.
- Revises production assignments per work specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
- Confers with Contact Supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes to scheduled production due to material or equipment failure.
- Ensures proper inventory control of raw materials and parts needed to complete production assignments.
- Provides performance feedback for annual appraisals on team personnel to Contact Supervisor.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Analyzes and resolves routine work problems and assists workers in solving routine work problems.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and work crew.
- Supplements the team as a participating production employee.
- Ability to work flexible shift schedules
- Maintains and facilitates communication among Production Associates, Supervisors, Engineering, Schedulers, and support personnel to support Coater Up-time and Slurry Availability.
- Responsible for updating multiple databases to ensure proper completion and prioritization of processes
- Helps to ensure the Foil Area adheres to all of the Corporation, Site, and Departmental Safety Goals and Practices

Basic Qualifications:

- SAP Experience Preferred
