Where the Chemistry Happens…

BASF Clean Air business is a leading supplier of emissions control catalysts to power generation and various industrial manufacturing processes, as well as the market leader in aircraft ozone converters. We provide a range of catalysts for the abatement of CO, VOC, NOx, O3, and other air pollutants. This role is responsible for growing sales and profitability of our current product portfolio in North America and Europe.

Sales Manager, North America and Europe (1702995) - Iselin, NJ

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Be responsible for NA and EU sales in the stationary emissions and aircraft ozone converter business, with multiple product lines serving a wide range of industries.
- Lead sales efforts to expand our core business - position existing technologies into adjacent markets, or develop and introduce new technologies/applications into existing markets. Develop sales growth opportunities.
- Generate sales leads through value chain penetration and pull through concepts where applicable. Build alliances and partnerships with key influencers in the value chain.
- Provide monthly sales forecast; accountable for achieving revenue and margin targets.
- Accountable for the performance of key account managers, distributors, and sales reps. Partner with distributors and manage distributor performance.
- Provide leadership to the global sales organization, as well as to the overall Clean Air business. Develop people, build a high-performance tea.m
- Use various Sales Excellence tools and resources to continuously improve the skills and competencies of the Sales organization.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience working for a large manufacturing company is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in managing and leading sales organizations.
- Knowledge of the power generation, chemical manufacturing, and aerospace industries; knowledge and experience in other large-scale manufacturing industries is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in producing results through key account management.
- Experience managing distributors on a global scale is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing global business teams, along with excellent professional skills in dealing with both internal and external customers on a global basis.
- Experience working in a global and matrix environment. Outstanding organizational skills are a must and a strong foundation in sales, business development, and strategic decision-making are required for success.
