The newly formed Human Capital Planning, Insights & Controlling function at BASF has the responsibility building organizational capability and discipline in reviewing human capital data and insights regularly to inform human capital strategy and to address business priorities and needs.

HR Reporting Analyst (1703229) - Florham Park, NJ

The HR Reporting Analyst is responsible for turning data into decision-aiding information through the creation of HR reports. This includes the central development and management of HR Reporting supporting the North America region. Responsibilities include a variety of HR reporting to support accurate and consistent results for groups including, but not limited to, HR Reporting & Analytics, Legal Compliance, and Finance.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Demonstrate detailed understanding of HR reporting for both local and regional data formats.
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and report templates by leveraging data from BASF's various HR applications.
- Leverage HR systems in the production of reports and information and creation of report templates.
- Act as administrator for reporting and analytics tools.
- Interact with internal users to establish and clarify requirements to develop report specifications.
- Streamline existing reports where needed.
- Seek out and suggest improved ways of working to make data, processes, and systems more trustworthy and efficient.
- Lead and participate in various regional and global HR projects.
- Provide structured training sessions to the HR community focused on HR reporting processes and systems.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across HR and the businesses to provide reports which are impactful and align with the function's requirements.
- Creates re-usable reports for use within the Human Capital Planning & Controlling Center of Excellence (CoE).
- Look for continuous improvement efforts for HR standardized reports.
- Support creation of broad HR data dictionary.
- Maintain detailed reporting documentation.
- Understand prevalent analytics solutions.
- Able access data from the analytics solution and manipulates it as needed to support the Workforce Analytics Team.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
- Ability to learn new functional concepts quickly and work independently to evaluate, analyze, and solve complex problems.
- Capability of applying technology to solving business problems and sound ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Expert knowledge of MS Office products used for analysis and presentation of data, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with HRIS Administration, HR processes, reporting, metrics, and databases.
- Proven skills in graphical and visual representation of data.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining a constant commitment to highest level of quality.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing and reporting fundamentals, and ability to understand new databases and data structures.
- Knowledge of SAP HCM and SAP Business Warehouse.
- Proficiency with HR reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Spinifex Easy Reporter, Visier, Tableau).
- Experience with Success Factors Ad Hoc reporting.
- Ability to understand basic Controlling concepts (Headcount, Forecasts).
- Capable of resolving end-user reporting problems, working on project teams, and leading/facilitating meetings.
