BASF's Sparks, Georgia Site is a leading producer of agricultural chemicals including fungicides and insecticides. We are looking for an Operator II to provide technical resources throughout the plant. This is a "hands-on" position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operation of processing equipment to batch, blend, or mix materials into finished products, in line with BASF, Federal, State and local regulations.
- Operations of packaging equipment to fill dry powders, granules, or liquids into approved finished product packages, in line with BASF, Federal, State and local regulations.
- Accurate batching and documentation of materials for production batches.
- Process control of product weights, labeling, lot coding and general appearance of finished products.
- Computation and recording of finished products quantities and recording of other production documentation.
- Providing leadership to operator Is and production workers in assigned production unit/line.
- Managing work processes in assigned production unit/line, and making sure assigned unit's tasks are satisfactorily completed.
- Training of production workers in assigned production unit/line.
- Leading 5S and housekeeping implementations in assigned unit.
- Authorization of safe work permits in assigned unit.
- Handling of special projects as assigned.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Basic Requirements:
- HS Graduate or accredited GED required.
- 4 years experience or equivalent required in production/maintenance operations, or completion of in-house Operator training program.

Preferred Qualifications:
- WorkReady skill assessment certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

This position is not eligible for relocation benefits.
