Where the Chemistry Happens…

By being a part of the global regional services team. The group works directly with sites in the region with each employee having a group of responsible sites assigned to them. The group works with sites to coordinate local projects with technology needs and works in a project management role to coordinate with the site and/or other groups in regional or global IT.

Info Sys Analyst II (1701675) - Seneca, SC or Hartwell, GA

The purpose of this job is primarily technical project management and coordination. This role will participate in and potentially lead global and regional IT projects for their site or sites. The person will take a lead responsibility for their sites, both primary and secondary, which will include Seneca, SC, Mauldin, SC, Spartanburg, SC, Hartwell, GA, and Acworth, GA. Responsibilities will include meeting with the sites on a regular basis to determine technology needs for the site, and to inform the sites of regional or global projects that will affect the sites in the near term.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Meet with sites to identify technology needs through informal meetings with engineering all the way up to site leadership team meetings. Proactively coordinate technology needs with the vendors and global teams of BASF IT.
- Coordinate projects and vendors at sites, such as arranging a vendor to get on site for a repair, to a complete roll out of systems that requires vendors and BASF personnel on site to address large scale upgrades.
- Work on, and in some cases, lead global and regional teams to coordinate large-scale projects that affect regional sites. The goal is to make these projects work on site timelines with minimum possible impact while adhering to all BASF policies and procedures for safety, security, and compliance.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution by traveling to a site and collaborating with teams to do root cause analysis and work with the internal and external partner to implement a solution.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor's degree required, with at least 1 year of experience in a technical environment; interest in project management is a plus.
- Basic awareness of technical areas such as LAN/WAN; Windows Workstations; Windows Servers; VMWARE virtual servers; and fiber optic and structured cabling.
- A general understanding of plant automation, firewalls, and other technology and applications as needed.
- Ability to work with technical experts and resolve issues.
- Must be resourceful and able to guide and direct contractors.
