We currently have an IMMEDIATE need for the following

FULL TIME position:


This position is responsible for the operation of all fabrication equipment such as: brake press, shear, saw, iron worker, bender, drill press, punch, shot blaster, vulcanizing equipment and a variety of portable hand tools associated with the manufacture and fabrication of assemblies, sub-assemblies and related pieces for WBA products.

Principal Responsibilities

- This is a 2nd shift position which consists of 4 - 10 hour shifts per week (Monday thru Thursday), with OT often available

- Responsible for safe operation, care and maintenance of shop equipment in general.

- Operate all fabrication equipment such as saw, stud welder, iron worker, bender, drill press, punch, shot blaster, vulcanizing equipment and a variety of portable hand tools.

- Operate tow motor, swing crane, overhead crane and other material handling equipment.

- Assemble / install all miscellaneous components, hardware, rubber, Teflon and urethane on all system designs.

- Paint systems as required.

- Operate his/her area/function in accordance and awareness of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies.

- Take immediate action to eliminate significant risk and to propose actions to eliminate non-conformance or deviations.

- Ensure that individual responsibilities within the unit/function are clearly documented and communicated.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school, technical school or other degree preferred
- Must have the experience/ability to read and interpret shop drawings
- Must have at least basic math skills and the ability to make mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Must have the experience/ability to properly and accurately utilize measuring devices within close tolerances
- Must have basic computer literacy (Windows 7 operating system, system navigation and on-line training)
- Experience with Pronest software a plus
- Experience with CNC programming a plus
- Experience in handling heavy gauge metals preferred
- Experience with operating tow motors, swing cranes, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment preferred
