We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation's biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Product Engineer-Engine Systems. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Product Engineer-Engine Systems will include:

* This position will be responsible for the design, development, timing and production release of a system and/or component.
* Responsible for the following system and/or components: fuel systems, cooling systems, air induction systems and exhaust systems.
* Other responsibilities will include the responsibility for quality improvements, cost reduction, weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.

Job Requirements

As a Product Engineer-Engine Systems you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

* BSME, BSEE or BS-Chemical Engineering degree is required. Extensive automotive experience is preferred. Open to entry-level candidates with a strong sense of urgency. Prototype experience is preferred.
* 1 - 3 years of practical experience required in any of the following:Fuel Systems, Cooling Systems, Air Induction Systems ,Exhaust Systems, or related. Internships/co-ops can be considered.
* Will consider seasoned candidates (experienced would be a plus).
* Please note this role will be for Exhaust Systems group.
* Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills and demonstrated problem solving ability. Product engineering experience preferred
* Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) preferred. Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) preferred.
* Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) preferred Belt certification preferred.
* Solid understanding of system/component design preferred. General understanding of NX, TeamCenter and CoDeP preferred.
* Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record.
* Will be required to travel domestically and internationally 20%
