Job Description

Job Summary:

The Health Unit Coordinator is responsible for clerical and secretarial activities of the nursing units. Answers call lights and telephones promptly. Responsible for ordering and inventory of unit supplies and equipment. Maintain patient chart folders. Greets and assists all customers while adhering to service excellence principles. Responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station. Assists RNs in the care of patients with healthcare needs including activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, collecting lab specimens, intake and output monitoring, and electronic medical record documentation. Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN).

Education/Degree Required:

High School Diploma Or



1 year Clinical Patient Care Experience

Electronic Health Record Experience

Experience working in a hospital setting

Health Unit Coordinator Experience

Monitor Technician Experience


Basic Life Support (BLS)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)


Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant

Monday - Friday

Evening Shift 3p-11p

40 Hours Weekly
