Job Description

Line of Business Description:
Mobile Software Engineer (SE) is responsible for conducting/coordinating the code development activities on BofA Mobile Applications. SE has the primary responsibility for delivering design and code during application development. While assigned to a project, SE will represent the development team to the other support groups such as UI development, line of business sponsors, functional testing, tech/stress testing, and environment-support group.

Specifically, this candidate will be:
- Responsible for the software development activities such as high level design, low level design, code, unit test cases, code maintenance, trouble shooting, and code documentation on application development/enhancements/initiatives.
- Providing assistance to code merges, builds, deployments, and setting up of the deployment (lower and prod) environments.
- Assisting with functional/tech testing on deployment package. Trouble shooting any issues that surface during testing, and delegating the task of addressing these issues to the appropriate project teams.
- Interacting and coordinating with other developers and QA personnel to manage/address/resolve bug reports.
- Communicating to the management regarding the status of the release.
- Participating in the design reviews, security reviews, capacity reviews, and ADA compliance

Required Skills
B.S. in Computer Science
1 years of software engineering (coding) experience in iOS/Objective-C or Android 2 years of software engineering (coding) experience in C /Java
Experience with iPhone SDK versions 7&8 and/or Android versions 4.x and 5.x
Experience in architecting and developing networking and/or secure applications for smart mobile devices
A firm understanding of building mobile applications that utilize web-services (HTTP based, XML, SOAP, JSON or other services)
Expertise of advanced software engineering concepts, most importantly object oriented design, hypermedia, device management, semi-native & html5 technologies, and memory management
Ability to contribute to a team of engineers in cross-functional teams (including QA, Product Management, etc)
Expertise or familiarity with well-designed user interfaces

Desired Skills
2 years of software design and development experience in internet based applications

MS in Computer Science from a Top Tier school/university highly desirable.
