Job Description

Line of Business Job Description:

The Junior Java developer will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software applications in bank by closely working with our line of business and architects. The developer will be responsible for documenting the current state and the future state of the application. Candidate must be a go-getter who is organized and able to work independently and with a team.

Enterprise Job Description:

Following established written procedures, guidelines and techniques, develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains, and debugs software applications that support business units or support functions. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on the most complex projects, often on multiple phases, and seeks guidance and direction from more senior associates or manager, as needed. Working knowledge of business or function for which application is designed. Often responsible for the completion of a phase of a project. Provides guidance and checks the work of less experienced associates. Typically requires 3-5 years of applicable experience.
Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Exposure to Java and J2EE technologies- Struts, Spring & Restful webservices
Understanding of object oriented design
Basic database & SQL skills
Strong demonstration of effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, planning, time management and organization skills
Proven team player with the ability to foster a team environment
Project management

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of encryption algorithms
Six Sigma experience
Familiar with development tools Perforce, Maven, and RAD
Demonstrated knowledge and comprehension of core business functions, processes and operations
Experience working with the global delivery model
