Senior Solar Designer #D01ALTUS

Senior Solar Designer (Stamford, CT): Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic and energy storage systems. Prepare preliminary layouts and photovoltaic system production estimates using Helioscope and PVSyst platforms. Complete electrical photovoltaic system design in AutoCAD, including modules, stringing, inverters, switch gear, rapid shutdown, data acquisition system, overhead and underground wiring system, cable tray and raceways, voltage drop/rise calculations, and protection. Utilize AutoCAD. Utilize PV Syst software. Utilize Helioscope software. Work with National Electric Code. Apply Electrical Engineering techniques. Work with electrical distribution circuits. Design C&I solar arrays in the 1 MW to 10 MW size, ground mount and rooftop. Requires Bachelor's degree plus 2 years experience. The salary for this role is $105,000.00-$120,000.00/year.
