Job Description

Job Title: HR Assistant

Address: 4700 NORTH 132ND STREET BUTLER Wisconsin 53007

Duration: 6 months+

Environment: Office within a meat processing facility (associate will NOT be expected to go on to the production floor); small team of approx. 6 people

Dress Code: Casual- jeans are fine (no rips or tears)

Education Required: High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred)

Prescreens: Background check and 5 panel drug screen with expanded opiates

Company Value Added Meats in Butler, Wisconsin currently has an exciting opportunity for an HR Administrative Assistant position. The HR Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the general administrative duties of Human Resources but not limited to benefits, medical leave, payroll/attendance, recognition, engagement and customer service.

Candidate must be comfortable and experienced working in a fast-paced environment as well as able to multi-task and work autonomously. Great customer service skills are also essential as plant employees regularly come into the office with questions.

Essential Duties and Functions:

* 40% Administration of employee benefits, roundtables, new hire paperwork, orientation, open enrollment, data entry, and filing
* 30% Internal customer service - assisting employees with questions providing assistance to employees regarding HR related concerns
* 20% Managing the administration and tracking of FMLA and Short Term Disability
* 5% Recognition Events and Engagement Activities
* 5% Back up payroll, run payroll reports, attendance

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED
* At least 2 years work experience in an administrative role
* Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
* Must be able to multi-task
* Must maintain the confidentiality of documents and personnel data
* Must be able to communicate at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 1 year work experience in an HR Assistant role
* Bilingual (English/Spanish/Burmese/French)
* At least 1 year work experience in a production environment
* Working knowledge of Kronos and/or PeopleSoft
* Strong community presence
