Job Description

The primary role of the Enterprise ADR is to team with and assist the Account Executive (AE) in achieving the revenue targets for their assigned territory. They must be capable of uncovering need and creating interest for deeper conversation around Enterprise software solutions over the phone, setting up face to face meetings, conducting account research via the internet, and maintaining customer relationships over the phone. They are expected to work effectively with corporate staff, taking direction and working as a team to deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction while growing the revenue base of the company.


Quota Attainment

* Discover and qualify in new sales opportunities for your specific business unit. (Quota TBD - approx. 18 new sales Opportunities per month)
* Work proactively and effectively with the AEs to make the team revenue targets and maintaining a 3-5X rolling sales pipeline of the annual revenue target.

Account/Territory Management

* Initiate, develop, and maintain telephone contacts with key people in assigned accounts.
* Identify, prioritize, penetrate, and help close targeted business opportunities in assigned accounts.
* Communicate the marketing message of the company and assist in sale of Enterprise software solutions
* Develop and maintain relationships with key partners where appropriate.


* Take a leadership role in developing a working relationship with all customer facing teams
* Be proactive in learning new concepts and skills to improve you and your team's performance.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal departments such as Marketing, Product Management, , Accounting, Legal and the Professional Services teams.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and support for the company and its policies.
* Show emotional maturity by handling controversy in a positive manner.
* Work effectively as a member of the Avalara sales Team.


* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer data in Salesforce.com.
* Manage travel and entertainment expenses where appropriate.
* Track and report key market indicators in the region/accounts, such as competitive activity.
* Maintain and submit all administrative reports accurately and on time.

Requirements for the Position

* At least three years of telephone sales or sales support experience preferably in technology
* Experience working with, selling to, or developing enterprise level accounts
* Proven skills in managing time effectively and working in a corporate sales environment
* Ability to work together toward a common goal in a team environment
* A high level of emotional maturity and experience at dealing with multiple levels in an organization.
* Excellent communications skills with a strong work ethic and track record of exceeding expectations.
* College degree or equivalent work experience.
* Tool proficiency - Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, Microsoft Office suite (Email, excel, word, etc.), Zoom meetings, webinars, Chili Piper, etc.)
