Autodesk is undertaking a strategic initiative to improve our customers' experience. As part of this initiative we are investing in web development efforts specifically focused on making it easier for our customers to get help and support; and to learn how to use our software. This development will include a variety of approaches to web services that enable people to find, use, share and contribute relevant information and answers, via web sites as well as in-product features and also through mobile experiences, as a part of a new Autodesk Knowledge Platform (AKP) program and platform.

As a part of this effort, Autodesk is seeking an energetic and motivated Senior/Lead SQA Engineer who will provide technical guidance to the QA Staff in the analysis, design, testing, and deployment of all AKP applications. The Senior/Lead SQA Engineer will work closely with Sr. Manager to assure that all products are properly tested, compliant with technical specifications and support AKP's strategic vision of improving customer experience. The candidate should have a passion for quality and should be able to work closely with developers, UX, architects and Quality Engineers in a highly collaborative environment. Our environment consists of SaaS based Web applications (J2EE (OSGi); PHP; Drupal), optimized for consumption in browsers, mobile browsers, mobile applications, and Autodesk desktop software components; in a service-oriented architecture using Rest and SOAP APIs running on Linux on Amazon cloud.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides necessary support of the existing AKP products quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.

For assigned project, conduct:

Manual and automated testing for assigned project.

Attend daily stand up and participate in Sprint Grooming, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings.

Prepare and lead the review cycle of test plans/test cases

Investigate failed automation tests and report issues in bug tracking system as appropriate

Automate testing of RESTful Web Services using Java and TestNG

Working closely with SDET to expand automated functional and regression tests utilizing existing Automation Framework

Assist in identifying and implementing ongoing quality improvement processes.

Help maintain and grow test automation infrastructure

Help maintain and create home-grown tools and scripts to facilitate and support ad-hoc testing

Working closely with Sr. QA Manager to ensure delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.

As necessary, mentor Junior members of the team to ensure the quality of their deliverables by assisting them on technical investigation/implementation and helping remove technical roadblocks.

Advocate and promote a strong culture for testing and outstanding software quality

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

- BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of software quality assurance experience, to include a minimum of two years in a Senior role .

- Experience using object oriented programming languages such as Java or C++

- Experience with automation testing for web based API such as REST and Web Services

- Experience with automating QA tests, processes, and reports

- Strong technical skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.

- Experience with cloud based platform testing, server-side testing and search engines

- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must.

- Must have experience of Web and Mobile applications, disciplines and standards.

- Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.

- Experience with Agile methodologies ( Scrum) and Test Driven Development (TDD)

- Experience with tools such as web monitoring, code coverage, memory tools

Desired Skills/Nice to have :

- Load and performance testing using open source tools such as JMeter or Visual Studio Load Test

- Knowledge of Apache Solr search platform is a plus

- Experience with Continuous Integration Testing

- Experience with unit testing

- Keen interest in new technologies and adopt them quickly
